Yes I think warnings would be a very good idea. They should also come with a complimentary packet of tissues too!
I don’t remember if I’ve ever had another whole volume kill me before; I might have just blocked that experience from my memory though ^^; Ahh those babies are such life savers really. I don’t know how authors manage to get the right balance of comedy and pain but some of them are really good at it!
If they ever decide to do a second season the anime-only fans are going to be in for a real surprise then….

This story is so painful and beautiful and the ANIME DECEIVED US and it hursts auuuugh orz!!!
I’m pretty sure I went to bed crying when I read that volume ^^; The story is beautiful but it makes me hurt in ways that should be illegal and I don’t know if I can handle any more pain.
I actually haven’t finished the anime either (I’ve been having buffering problems with Crunchyroll for a little while now) and now I’m afraid that watching it will just remind me of how happy and sweet the series started off…

From what I can gather Nasu is a contractor to a demon that opposes the current demon king and that he can lend power to those who serve under him? I think the numbers signify what order he’s lent out power to them. Oga and co. haven’t really been united as such or properly acknowledged Oga as their leader so that’s why those numbers have never appeared on them up until now.
